Design brief: The Manifold Boots
Silk has been a symbol of luxury since time immemorial . It has been the connect of west and east .The leather is one of the earliest known substances of human consumption . It's presence almost universal .We blend the three distinct forms through the art of Banarasi silk weaving-Kimkhab , leather technique and semi precious stones embellishment. Alike the Indian traditions of melting new ideas, culture and people; the boot shoes, represent an amalgamation of ideas that are distinct but stand here complementing each other .The semi precious stones embellishment made it possible to imagine ‘celestial on earth.
NIFT/ Ministry of Textile
Under the guidance of Dr Jasmin Dixit (NIFT, New Delhi) along with other team members, kohbaer core developed a range of shoes which was later awarded Design sutra award by the Ministry of textile, GOI.
